Paul Ryan

Paul Ryan, 47, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord at his home on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2015. Paul had resided in the Kingsport and Greeneville area for most of his life. He was a retired employee of Greene Valley Developmental Center in Greeneville. Paul loved the Lord and was a very caring individual who enjoyed the mountains and nature.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Harriett Ryans; infant brother, Charles Ryans; paternal grandparents, Dave and Mary Ryans; maternal grandparents, Irvan Hensley and Melinda Starkey; and grandson, Patrick Whitaker.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Rachel Whitaker and husband, Chris of Piney Flats, TN; granddaughter, Emma Whitaker; father, Callie Ryans of Kingsport; brother, Larry Ryans of Kingsport; and many cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with E.B. Moore, Tyler McMullins and Billy Wayne Arrington officiating.
