Pauline Clark, 82, of Kingsport, passed away at her home Monday, November 30, 2009, following a courageous fight with terminal cancer.
Born in the Hiltons, VA, area, Mrs. Clark had lived in the Kingsport area most of her life. She was a member of Lone Star Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Pauline was a gardener, fed the hungry, loved her family and was a great prayer warrior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Worley Clark; a granddaughter, Holly Hale; and brother, Reuben Mabe.
She is survived by a daughter, Irene Hale of Kingsport; two sons, Roger Worley Clark of Church Hill and Terry T. Clark and wife Kathy of Kingsport; nine grandchildren, Jeff Clark, Michael Clark, Charity Clark, Ashley Clark, Sara Clark, Allan Hill, Jerona Hill, Sean Hill, and Greg Hill; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Steadman officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Maces Springs, VA. with a short graveside tribute by her grandson Greg Hill.
