Pauline Sellers Crawford, 71, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord January 2, 2012 at the home of her daughter after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Hawkins County but had lived the majority of her life in Sullivan County. Pauline enjoyed gardening and growing her flowers. She attended Gospel Mission Church. Pauline was loving and was loved by all who knew her, having touched a lot of people.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Herman G. Crawford; father, D.H. "Dock" Sellers; mother, Cordellia Barrett Sellers; brothers, Kelley, Allie, D.B., Vernon and Darris Sellers; sisters, Ruth Sellers, Elvie Cavin, Grace Clemons and Dollie Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Crawford of Kingsport; son, Ronnie Crawford of Kingsport; grandchildren, Taylor Crawford and Conner Hyatt; sisters, Gladys Morrison and husband, George of Church Hill, Dorothy Simpson of Kingsport, Willadean Ward and husband, Glen of Limestone, and Violet Crawford and husband, James of Kingsport; brothers, Jack Sellers and wife, Betty of Church Hill, her twin brother, Paul Sellers and wife, Carolyn of Church Hill, and Garland Sellers of Church Hill; sisters-in-law, Desi Saylor, Lois Sherfey and husband, Orgie, and Alma Crawford; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch and at anytime at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Danny Dolen and Rev. Justin Meade officiating. Honorary ministers will be Rev. Orville Dolen, Rev. Lewis Meade and Rev. Shelton Meade.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fall Branch.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Chase, Travis Harris, Rick Charlton, James Arnold, Leonard Crawford and Orgie Sherfey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Crawford, Roy Cox and Don Byrd.
A special thanks should go to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care.
