Pauline Hunt

Pauline Hunt, 86, Church Hill, TN, died Friday, April 20, 2012.

Polly was born in Kingsport where she has lived all her life. She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her roses.

Polly was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Nester "Dood" Hunt; son, Richard Conkin; and parents, John and Stella Boyer.

Surviving are her son, Harvey Conkin and wife Vickie of Church Hill and granddaughter, Autumn of the home, who helped with her care; stepdaughter, Phyllis Manis and husband Waymond of Kingsport; four grandchildren; Tammy Conkin McKay, Susie Conkin Powell, Tracy Conkin Wilson, and Travis Conkin; thee step-granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ilene Morelock and Dot McKenzie; and one niece, Gale Morelock.

Special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their loving care they gave to Polly the last two years.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Todd Jennings and Rev. Jerry Hensley.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
