Pauline Lingerfelt

Pauline Lingerfelt, 93, of Kingsport, TN went to be with the Lord, October 3, 2016 at Asbury Place Steadman Hill following a period of declining health. She was born in Hiltons, VA on September 23, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Simon and Nannie Salyer Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Fred Lingerfelt; two brothers, Clyde and S.R. Clark; six sisters, Faye Stapleton, Tilda Hammonds, Lizzie Dingus, Georgia Taylor, Irene Vermillion, and (baby) Eunice Clark.

Pauline is survived by her son, Larry R. Lingerfelt, Sr. and wife, Judy; grandson, Larry R. Lingerfelt, Jr., and wife, Kristy; great-grandchildren, Blake Lingerfelt and wife, Morgan of Knoxville, Brittany McClure and husband, Jeremy of Fort Myers, FL; granddaughter, Lara Stamper and husband, Jimmy; great-granddaughter, Autumn Stamper of Kingsport; grandson, Robert Lingerfelt and wife, Lisa; great-grandchildren, Casey Lingerfelt and wife, Sara of Sidney, OH, and Rachel Lingerfelt of Kingsport; several great-great-grandchildren; special nieces, Lorene Johnson and Hazel Robinette; special relatives, Mary Watts, Pat Webb, and Judy Lingafeldt of Morganton, NC.

She was a devoted homemaker and dedicated herself to her husband, family, and church. Pauline was an active long-time member of Indian Springs Baptist Church (Glenwood Campus), Kingsport, and attended regularly until health issues intervened.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Indian Springs Baptist Church (Hill Road Campus) in Kingsport, TN. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Tiger Brooks and Dr. David Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

An exceptional special thanks is given to the nurses and workers at Asbury Place Steadman Hill for their quality care and thoughtfulness in providing care to Pauline during her stay there.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Indian Springs Baptist Church children's program, 325 Hill Rd., Kingsport, TN 37664.
