Pauline Stubblefield Penley

Pauline Stubblefield Penley, 87, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord June 16, 2009, after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved reading history - especially family history and classic movies.

Mrs. Penley was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer James Penley; her parents, Andrew and Lilly Stubblefield; brothers, Ray Quillen, Floyd Quillen, Prezzle Quillen; and sisters, Nancy Quillen, Bonnie Stubblefield and Lonnie Lindsey.

She is survived by a daughter, Clementina Penley; sons, James Penley and wife Dorette and David Penley and wife Linda; five grandchildren, Sheree Anderson, James Penley, Holly Lunsford, Sean Penley, and Kristin Johnson; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.
