Pauline Smith

Pauline "Polly" Smith, 84, of Church Hill, went to her Heavenly Home Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Polly was proud to have been the wife of a United Methodist Minister and she attended a number of area Methodist Churches and was a regular attendee of the Holston Methodist Conference. Polly was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church. She was a teacher in the Head Start Program for many years.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Floyd D. Smith, a son, Randal, and a grandson.

She is survived by five children, Paula Pope and husband, Larry of Pensacola, FL, Krista Audette and husband, Mike of Kingsport, Floyd Stephen Smith and wife, Barbara of Fall Branch, Keith Smith of Church Hill, and Stanley Smith and wife, Gina of Blountville; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucille Jackson of Kingsport, Roxie Carvelle and husband, Garfield of Pulaski, TN and Kitty Erwin of Ocala, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17th from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, August 18th at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
