Peggy Harkleroad, 72, of Kingsport passed away Friday March 9, 2012.
Peggy was born in Abingdon, VA and resided in Kingsport. She worked at Tennessee Eastman Company beginning in 1979 and retired in 1996. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife.
Peggy was a longtime member of West View Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Smith, Jack Buchanan and Lynn Harkleroad; four grandsons, Brandon and Christopher Buchanan, Matthew Hicks and Brian Harkleroad; one granddaughter, Ashley Hicks; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Nelson and Braydon Buchanan; four sisters, Faye Roark, Jenny Hardin, Cookie Watson and Violet Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Stout officiating.
Interment will follow the funeral service at East Lawn Memorial Park.
