Peggy Charlene King

Peggy Charlene King, 92, of Kingsport went to be with her Lord and Savior in her heavenly home on November 20, 2024. She was born in Virgie, Kentucky but spent most of her life in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Her strong faith, endless love, and unwavering devotion to her family deeply touched those dear to her. As a mother, she was the heart of our family. Her prayers were constant, and she lived her life as an example of unconditional love and elegance.

Throughout her life, she worked as a dedicated bookkeeper and school bus driver. She approached her work with the same integrity, attention to detail, and commitment that she brought to every aspect of her life. Whether at her desk or on the bus, she brought a sense of reliability and kindness to all she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Hagan King, her parents, TJ and Gladys Fleming, and her granddaughter Kenna Denise Horn. She is survived by her daughter, Karen King, her son, William King, her granddaughters Hagan Horn and Shauna King, and her great-grandchildren Jack, Avery, Rosemary, Hayden, Gemma, and Blue. Peggy is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Peggy was a loving sibling to her cherished sister Linda McCann and her brothers Jack Fleming, Francis Fleming, Hansel Fleming, Robert Fleming, and Richard Fleming. Her generosity and loyalty created a special connection that will always live in their hearts.

Known for her sense of humor and vibrant presence, Peggy brought great laughter and warmth into every aspect of her life. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of family, friends, and all those she welcomed warmly into her home and life.
