Peggy Lee Ramey, 75, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home to meet her husband, Clyde. Born in Blountville, she was the daughter of the late William and Beulah Sampson Bethany. Peggy did various things in life, but her most important roles were being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was an avid reader, and when health allowed, she would knit and crochet. Peggy loved to cook. She enjoyed helping anyone, anytime she could. Peggy also enjoyed being in the company of friends and family. She was a member of Homeland Baptist Church and loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Clyde" Ramey, together they shared a wonderful marriage of 56 years; brothers, Harold Bethany and Fred Bethany; and sister, Pauline Coates.
She is survived by her son, Steven Ramey of Lexington, North Carolina; brother, Wayne Bethany and wife Dorothy, of Blountville; sister-in-laws Myrna Bethany of Debary, Florida, and Elva Mae Huffman and husband Robert, of Blountville; brother-in-law, James Conley Ramey and wife Barbara, of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special extended family, Linda Gibson and Billy Scyphers.
