Peggy Machen

Peggy L. Machen, 73, of Kingsport, died Thursday morning, February 15, 2024, at home with her husband by her side after an extended illness.  Born in Bunnlevel, NC, she had resided in Kingsport since 1978.   She was a graduate of Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. Peggy retired from Eastman Chemical Company in 2023 after almost 50 years of service.  She was of the Baptist faith.

 She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Cameron and Jean McLean.

 Peggy is survived by her husband, Steven Machen of the home; stepson, Christopher Machen; grandson, Tyler Owenby; brothers, Donald McClean of Bunnlevel, NC, and Ronald McLean of The Netherlands; and several nieces and nephews.
