Peggy Shafferman

Margaret "Peggy" Shafferman, 83, of Colonial Heights, TN, passed suddenly Monday, October 3, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Prior to moving to Kingsport in 1973, Peggy resided in Bergen County, NJ where she worked in marketing and purchasing for a number of years.

Surviving are her husband Fred Z. Shafferman, three children: Robert L. Witte and wife Anne Marie of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, Barbara Lynn Pagano and husband Richard F. of Franklin Lakes, NJ, and Gary W. Witte & wife Patti of Vernon, NJ, four step-children: Kyle Shafferman of Kingsport, TN, Eric Shafferman and wife Frances of Corryton, TN, Kent Shafferman of Johnson City, TN, and Amy Malone and husband Michael of Dallas, TX, six grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jill, Adam, Lauren, Jonathan and Amanda, and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Funeral Home, Kingsport, TN, with Rev. Thomas Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
