Pharaba Jean Cochran, 71, of Mount Carmel, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lige and Oma Mae Gilliam; stepmother, Rosa Gilliam; husband, William Cochran; son, Kenneth Cochran; sister, Edna Crawford; brothers, Lark, Harold, Lige Jr. and Claude Gilliam; and two stepbrothers, Gene Cradic and Ralph Cradic.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Cochran of the home, Treasa Goode and husband Jeff, Limestone; three sons, James Cochran, Tony Cochran, and Jim Bob Reed, all of the home; six grandchildren, Heather Palmer, Christopher Cochran, Kayla Reed, Hope Detamore, Christopher Goode, and Zachary Goode; two sisters, Cathy McMurray, Church Hill and Peggy Dorman and husband Carl, Kermit, VA; three brothers, George Gilliam of the home, Bobby Gilliam and wife Wanda, Rogersville, and Jackie Gilliam, Church Hill; one stepsister, Wilma Housewright and husband Wayne, Church Hill; and two stepbrothers, Wilburn Cradic and wife Betty Jo, Surgoinsville and M. B. Cradic, Church Hill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours are from 1-2:00 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Rev. J. Thomas Phillips officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Goode, Christopher Goode, Zachary Goode, Joey Cradic, Jeffery Crawford, and Steve Ferguson.
