Phil Coffman

Phil Coffman, 66, Gray, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones. Phil was a lifelong resident of Fall Branch but had lived in Gray for the past several years. He was a graduate of Fall Branch High School. Phil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years including service in Desert Storm. He was retired from Eastman Chemical Company. Phil was a deacon and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch where he loved singing in the choir. Phil was a devoted husband, loving father, brother and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Erma Coffman, sister, Carolyn Hood, special aunt, Helen Steadman, and special uncle, Jim Wolfe.

Phil is survived by his wife of 47 years, Louane Coffman; daughter, Kristi Sanders; son, P.J. Coffman and wife, Misty; 4 grandchildren, Cliff and Kayla Sanders ( and their father, Travis), and Faith and Eli Coffman; sister, Sandra Gardner and husband, Lynn; brothers-in-law, Bob Hood, and Steve Quillen & wife, Becky; special aunt, Nova Wolfe; nephew, Rick Wolfe; nieces, Sheila Kay Arn, Carolyn Jean Mitchell; and several great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Shawn Cutshall and Pastor Victor Wallace officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Jim Dawson, Mike Depew, Chris Depew, Tom Ledbetter, George Moody, Jimmy Ward, Jack Moffitt and Jay Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch, Frank Fink and Roland Davis.
