Phillip Keith Johnson, 29, 1042 Old Blairs Gap Rd., Kingsport, TN, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Holston Valley Medical Center Emergency Room.

He was born in Kingsport where he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Johnson attended Cherokee High School and was a former employee of Pavewell Paving and Charles Guest Plumbing. He attended Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

Phillip was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother.

His father, Clarence Blue Johnson, Sr.; and maternal grandmother, Dorothy Crawford, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Penny Johnson, Kingsport; his daughter, Ashley Taylor, Kingsport; his mother, Barbara Swecker, Kingsport; three half-sisters, Sherry, Penny, and Angie; one brother, Allen Swecker; one half-brother, Clarence ?Hoss? Johnson, Jr.; sister-in-law Amy Collins; three nieces, Abigail Rose Swecker, Tiffany and Angel Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch, and any time at 308 Bob Dykes Road or 264 Mullenix Private Drive, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Bobby Krtausch and Rev. Rex Miller officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Light Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Dykes, Brandon Dykes, Steve Allen Gooch, Dennis Crawford, James Crawford, Tim Shipley, Bill Shipley, David Lucas, and Jerry Crawford.

The family would like memorial contributions go to the funeral home, P. O. Box 27, Kingsport, TN 37662, to help defray funeral expenses.
