Phyllis Abby Quinn

Phyllis Abby Quinn, 85, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. A devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, Phyllis was an active volunteer at St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Her love for crafting was evident in her knitting and crocheting, often creating heartfelt gifts for her family and friends. A passionate supporter of the Dolphins football team, Phyllis also found fulfillment in helping others through her involvement with Meals on Wheels the Clothes Closet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Phyllis Zasloff; sister, Gloria Wigley; and brother, Ronald Zasloff.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Avido Robert Allen Quinn, affectionately known as “Chuck”; children, Dr. Donald Quinn (Pat) and Linda Ann Hanley (John); grandchildren, Jessica Ann Engelhardt (Marcus), Robert Allen Quinn, Patrick Michael Quinn, Grant Thomas Quinn, and Sean Quinn Hanley; and great-grandchildren, Desmond Carter Engelhardt and Lincoln Oliver Engelhardt.

Her legacy of love, service, and warmth will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 with Father Jonathan Hermes officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
