Phyllis Ann Capps Kelly, 75, passed away ont Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Tranquility Kennesaw Mountain Hospice in Marietta GA. Phyllis was born in Erwin TN. April 20, 1942 to the late Dana H. and Virginia Calhoun Capps.
She lived most of her married life in Kingsport, TN with her husband Roger F. Kelly. They belonged to the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Until her retirement, Phyllis was employed by Medex Laboratories in Kingsport, TN.
In 2009 Phyllis and Roger moved to Summerville, GA where she and Roger joined the Summerville United Methodist Church. Phyllis enjoyed her boys' sports, her crafts, and quilting. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her grandchildren dearly.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by grandparents, Manual R. Sr. and Annie Capps; Glen D. and Pearl Calhoun, and granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth Kelly.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Roger F. Kelly; three sons, Jeff (Lisa) Kelly, Jackson, WI, Greg (Julie) Kelly, Alpharetta, GA, and David (Kristy) Kelly, Lawrenceville, GA; three grandchildren, Lauren E. Kelly, Nashville, TN, Matthew Kelly, Nashville, TN, and Jessica Kelly, Milledgeville, GA; and sister, Sherry Capps (Buddy) Windle, Summerville, GA.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN. Cousin and former missionary, Leland Calhoun, will preside.
