Phyllis "Nancy" Bowman

Phyllis "Nancy" Bowman, 77, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. She was born and raised in the Long Island Community most of her life. She loved all kids, especially babies and she had a hand in raising many.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Don Bowman; parents, Woodrow and Nola Murray; and sister, Faye Nelson.

She is survived by her sisters, Norma Baines and husband, M.H. and Loretta Trent and husband, Gerald; brother, Johnny Murray and wife, Kathy; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special niece and caregiver, Olivia Bloomer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Tim Nelson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tim Riner, Elijah Riner, M.H. Baines, Gerald Trent, Steve Alvis, John Murray and Zackary Daugherty.
