Phyllis Nadine Williams, born July 31, 1943, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 29, 2008 after a brief illness.
Phyllis was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Regina Taylor; parents, Clyde and Vesta Chase; and a brother, Junior Chase.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Dawn Grills; two granddaughters, Brittany Grills and Cheyenne Taylor; three grandsons, Johnathan Grills, Brandon Grills, and David Castle; one great-grandchild, Cayden Grills; two sisters, Glenda Barrett and husband Eugene, and Joyce Carrico; special nieces, Renee Johnson and Brenda Pierce; and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Clifford Cole officiating.
Graveside services follow at Walker's Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Renee Johnson, 818 Forest Street, Kingsport, TN 37660 to help with funeral expenses.
