Polly Gregg Miller, 77, of Jonesborough passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her home.
Polly retired from the Washington County School Board after over 20 years of service. She attended Greggs Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.
Survivors include two sons, Kermit Miller of Jonesborough and Sam G. Miller and wife Patricia of Limestone; one daughter, Lorraine Cox and fiancé Ronnie Lane of Gray; six grandchildren, Steven Miller, Jamie and Heath Cox, Jacob Carver, Miranda Miller, and Austin Miller; five great-grandchildren, Steven and Savannah Miller, Gracie Cox, Gab and Zarah Cox; four stepchildren, Ernie Littleton, Elsie Whitaker, Etta Wilson, and Judy Taylor; sister, Velma Hubbard of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bill Ford.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson with Brother Charlie Byrd and Pastor Eddie McAmis officiating. Music will be provided by Larry and Margaret Ryans.
Interment will follow at the Bacon-Kincheloe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Heath Cox, Jacob Carver, Ronnie Lane, Chris Hubbard, Brad Hubbard, Lynn Hubbard, and Steven Miller. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Greene.
Contributions may be made to Kermit Miller to defray funeral expenses.
