Ralph (Ernie) Stewart

Ralph (Ernie) Stewart, 46, Kingsport, TN, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013.

He was born July 16, 1967 in Sullivan County where he lived his entire life. Ernie was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lydle Dickenson; father, Ralph Stewart; maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Ronnie Ramey; children, Ashley Stewart and Josh Stewart; sisters, Angela Lawson and husband, Roger and Kristi Jones and husband, Bobby; brother, Rusty Stewart and wife, Traci; nephews, Alex Lawson, Zac Lawson and Matt Jones; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved pets, "Lady" and "Scrappy".

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Alan Buckles officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet by 10:30 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home to go in procession.

Pallbearers will be Roger Lawson, Bobby Jones, Matt Jones, Tommy Jones, James Stewart and Kenny Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Lawson and Zac Lawson.
