Randall Hicks

Randall Steele Hicks, 55, beloved father of Brittany and Lorie Hicks, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday November 25, 2009 at his home.

A lifelong resident of Blountville he was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He attended Hiwassee College where he received his associates degree. He retired from S&ME Inc. Randy preferred the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed the beauty of nature by camping and riding his Harley. He always had a knack for making others laugh and was a good friend to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edley and Evelyn Hicks and his sister, Becky Hicks Jones

In addition to his daughters, he is survived by the mother of his children, Marilyn Hicks, Kpt; one sister, Judy Hopson, Bluff City; two brothers, Jerry Hicks and wife Shelby, Bristol, TN and Mike Hicks, Blountville; brother in law, Ronnie Jones, Blountville; five nieces, Jeryn, Lauren, Andrea, Haley and Caitlyn and one nephew, Sam

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson with Rev. Ike Brighton officiating. Music will be provided by Shane Ferrell.
