Randall (Randy) William Moore

Randall (Randy) William Moore, 63, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Holston Valley Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born on February 28, 1956, in Kingsport, and moved to Indiana at the age of 2 before returning to Fall Branch, TN, at the age of 8. He resided there until moving to Kingsport in 1977. He graduated from Daniel Boone High School. Randy worked at Heck Motors in Kingsport while in high school and then went to work at Eastman after graduating in 1974. He retired from Eastman after 28 years of service due to health reasons. Randy is a member of Celebration Church, where he had served as a leader of the mission teams. He also helped start the oil-change ministry and the annual cruise-in at the church. Randy loved riding his motorcycles, working on his hot rods, and attending car shows.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clarice Moore and Oscar Moore; and his grandparents, Charlie and Laura Pearson, and Charlie and Mary Moore.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Mary Couch Moore; stepson, Andy Couch of Austin, TX; two brothers, David Moore of Kingsport, and Mark Moore (Michele) of Harmony, TN; nephew, Chris Moore (Whitney) of Rock Springs; one aunt; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Robert Russell and Rev. Marvin Egan officiating.

Burial will follow at Fall Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
