Randall "Randy" O. Davis

Randall "Randy" O. Davis, 63, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly, February 2, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, on May 21, 1952, a son of Norma Farris Davis of Bluefield, Virginia and the late T. Orrin Davis. He retired from Kroger in 2014 following 46 years of service. Randy volunteered at Exchange Place and was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church. He also served in the West Virginia National Guard for 6 years. Randy loved gardening, home improvement, NASCAR, college football and enjoyed Predators Hockey, but his favorite past time was spending time with his grandchildren.

Randy is preceded in death by his father.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 13 years, Nancy Davis, of the home; two sons, Lorne Randall Davis of Kingsport and Zachary Brooks Davis and wife Amber Woods Davis of Fort Carson, CO; mother of Randy's sons, Karen Brooks Davis, of Kingsport; step daughter, Amy Steele of Lexington, KY; step son, Brian Palmquist and wife Natasha of Waterville, WA; two grandchildren, Lily and Bennett Davis; one step granddaughter, Lexie Palmquist; brother, Barry Davis and wife Tina and their three children of Fort Wayne, IN; mother-in-law, Marilyn Plutchak of WI; and 8 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, 10-11:00am, at Hamlett-Dobson, Downtown with services immediately following at 11:00am with Rev. Ray Amos, Sr. officiating.
Burial will be held, Saturday, 2:00pm at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. with Pastor Ken Sprinkle officiating.
