Randy Buchanan

Randall E. "Randy" Buchanan, 56, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2016. Born in Kingsport on November 26, 1959, a son of the late Philip and Trula Hicks Buchanan, he had resided briefly in Jacksonville, FL, before moving back to Kingsport and had spent the rest of his life here. He was a member of Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church and had worked for various businesses in the area.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William B. Hicks and Velma M. Kerns Hicks; his paternal grandparents, Harry Eugene Buchanan and Elouise Roller Buchanan; cousin, Barbara Cleek; and two aunts, Ruth Deel and Mary Cleek.

Randy is survived by the mother of his children, Debbie Kay Brown; two sons, Brandon William Buchanan and partner, Tyler Gray; Nathaniel Edward Buchanan and fiancé, Katherine Nauert; one grandson, Isaac William Buchanan; brother, Phil E. Buchanan and wife, Bonnie of St. Augustine, FL; one sister, Cindy Knight of Jacksonville, FL; one aunt, Peggy Moore and husband, Bobby of Kingsport; several cousins; two nieces, Alishia and Nikki; companion, Brenda Halcomb; and his cat, Sugar.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 12:00 noon on Friday at Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church. The memorial service will follow at noon with Minister Eddie Doerr officiating and special music by the Reedy Creek Choir.

Inurnment at Gunnings Cemetery will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Those attending committal services are asked to meet at the cemetery at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Blair, Tyler Cridlin, Rick Hurst, Dakota Hall, Ronnie Parker, Wes Parker, and Chad Begley.
