Randy Fannon, 51, Kingsport, went peacefully to be with the Lord Friday December 04, 2009 in Harrison Valley, PA.
Randy was born in Coeburn, VA, but had resided in Kingsport for most of his life. He was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. Randy enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, fishing, and playing pool. He loved the time spent with his family and friends and caring for his horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Fannon; brother, Curtis Fannon; and nephew, Darrell Absher.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Faye Fannon, of the home; daughters, Nancy Isbell and Christy Fannon Bacon, both of Kingsport; sons, John Fannon and wife, Crystal, and Chris Fannon, both of Kingsport; five grandchildren, McKayla Isbell, Trinity Fannon, Jacob Fannon, Christian Isbell, and Conor Bacon; sisters, Tiny Absher and husband, Mack, Kingsport, and Judy Payne and husband, Jerry, Johnson City; brothers, Floyd Fannon and wife, Grace Jean, Kingsport, Palmer Fannon, Church Hill, Earl Dean Fannon and wife, Lois, Johnson City, and Bobby "Buddy" Fannon and wife, Louise, Telford; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Dewey Ward and Pastor Raymond Hammonds officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 12 noon Wednesday at Chestnut Flats Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Absher, Frankie Tittle, Travis Fink, Henry Parsons, Bobby White, Brandon Gray, and Keith Brannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Reed, Joe Crawford, J.J. Cole, and Charlie Cole.
