Ray Brown, 76, of Kingsport, died Thursday night, May 1, 2008, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Scott County, Virginia, he had resided in Kingsport most of his life.
Ray was preceded in death by a son, David Brown, and four brothers.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruby Brown and Glenn Towle, Charlene Bowery, and Christine Davis all of Kingsport; two sons, Billy Brown and wife Kathleen and Tony Ray Brown and fiancée Vanessa Lawson, all of Kingsport; one stepson, Billy Richards of Kingsport; two special grandchildren, Brandi Brown and Little Tony Brown; several other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Persinger of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private service at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
