Ray Crawford

Ray Crawford, 62, Kingsport, passed away June 24, 2013. He was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong area resident.

He was a wonderful husband, father, papaw, and loved to spend time with his family.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph "Trigger" and Orpha "Rovina" Crawford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Betty "Sue" Crawford; children, Diana Price and husband, Mark, Church Hill, Chris Crawford and wife, Amy, Spring Hill, TN, Amanda Guimond and husband, Kris, Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Casey Price, Kaitlyn Price, Caleb Crawford, Aubrie Crawford; brothers, Robert Crawford and wife Nella Mae, Junior Reese Crawford and wife Paulette, Ricky Crawford and wife, Liz; sisters, Nannie Mae Thacker and husband, George, Ima Jean Crawford, Elminia Dougherty; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Derek Bell officiating.

The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Light Cemetery. The Pallbearers are Doug Crawford, Ricky Crawford, Jr., Mark Crawford, Andy Elliot, Hagan Lawson and Kenny Forester.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Ray's co-workers at Jacobs for their friendship.
