Raymond Roy Lopp

Raymond Roy Lopp, 70, Kingsport, died on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012. Ray retired in 2004 from a career working as a teacher's advocate for the California Teachers Association CTA. Upon relocating to Kingsport, he enjoyed working at the Habitat Store and became an active member of the Boones Creek Historic Trust. Ray was a lifetime learner and had an extreme passion for reading and a love of books.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Daniel Lopp and Marion Forbes Lopp.

Ray is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Lopp of Kingsport; daughter, Rebecca Boggs and husband Darian of Greenbelt, MD; son, Matthew Lincoln Lopp and wife, Shiho Lopp of Honolulu, HI; granddaughters, Novalee Roberto and Hailey Boggs; sister, Eva McFayden and husband John of Golden Shores, AZ; and nephew, Ian McFayden.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Boones Creek Christian Church Chapel Youth Center Old Church 305 Christian Church Road, Gray, TN 37615.
