Ray L. Morelock, 67, Kingsport, who was spiritually reborn, went to be with the Lord early Thursday, December 7, 2006 following an extended illness.
Born in the Beech Creek community, he had lived in Kingsport most of his life. Ray was a construction worker and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Base Morelock; mother, Violet Morelock; one sister, Emma; and two brothers, Paul and Edward.
Surviving are one sister, Thelma Light, Rogersville; two brothers, James ?Chip? Morelock, Kingsport and Basil Morelock, Rogersville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jerold ?Cub? Culbertson, Yuma, VA.
Calling hours are from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Orville Dolen officiating.
