Reece Collins

Hubert Reece Collins, 75, of Fall Branch, TN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, March 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Hawkins County, TN on October 21, 1937, a son of the late Guy Barrett and Eula Ethel Collins. Reece resided in this area his entire life. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, dad, papaw, brother and friend, who loved to work his orchard and garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Barrett.

Reece is survived by his wife of 55 years, Minnie M. Collins, of the home; four children, Glenda Sue Lane and husband, Arthur "Ott", of Gray, Faye Runion and husband, Jim of Jonesborough, Donnie Collins of Fall Branch, and Jennifer Basinger of Jonesborough; six grandchildren, Carolyn House and husband, Andy, Shannon W. Lane and wife, Shannon R., Colleen Woods and husband, Johnny, Travis Lane and wife, Tosha, Ashley Basinger, and Jordan Basinger; several brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 in the chapel with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Bacon-Kincheloe Cemetery in Jonesborough. Those attending the graveside service are asked to assemble at the gravesite by 10:45 am, Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Steve Collins, Donnie Collins, Shannon Lane, Travis Lane, Jimmy Greer, Tim Lane, Jim Runion and Richie Lawson.
