Renee Chase Johnson

Renee Chase Johnson, 40, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and friend who possessed a sweet compassionate spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Georgia Chase, and a brother, Ronnie Chase.

She is survived by her valued friend, Mack "Scottee" Scott; son, Jonathan Light and fiancée, Tracy Benton; daughter, Madonna Carlson-Scott and husband, Marcellus; stepson Skiler Light and fiancée Amanda Parris; 3 grandchildren, Brayden Mabe, Jacob Light, and Aaron Light; sisters, Analisa McKinney and Tina Blevins; mother-in-law, Mary Absher; and 2 special aunts, Phyllis Morelock and Glenda Barrett and husband, Eugene, all of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Saturday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Roy Lane officiating. Burial will follow at the Morrison Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randall Compton, Chris Hutson, Ronnie Rines, Shane Sutherland, Skiler Light, and Brandon Fields.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to offset the funeral costs are made to Mack Scott, 818 Forest St., Kingsport, TN 37660.
