Rhonda Kaye Vannatter Patchett

Rhonda Kaye Vannatter Patchett lost her battle with cancer early in the morning on May 12, 2010. Rhonda was born in Panama City, FL, on July 15, 1958, and grew up in Baltimore, MD. She has lived in Church Hill and the Kingsport area for the last 15 years, working at many restaurants in the area, and was well-known and well-loved. She was loved by all, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She loved the Tennessee mountains. She also loved the Florida Gulf Coast. If not in the mountains, she loved the beach.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Vannatter.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Patchett, of Kingsport, TN; her children, Matthew Johnson, Brandy Webster and husband, John, Cory Johnson and wife, Meagan, and Michael Pate and wife, Amy; six grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life, William and Gabrielle Johnson, Laura Keating, Kelly Reich, Ashlyn and Hayden Pate; her parents, John and Pat Haller of Panama City, FL; and stepmother, Sandy Vannatter, of Medina, TX.

Rhonda has a large extended family, with sister Deena Pate and husband, Charlie, Gregory Haller, and wife, Kim, Shannon Carbery and husband, Kenneth, Grant Vannatter and wife, Shannon, Nathan Vannatter and wife, Dusty, Jordan Vannatter and wife, Trish; and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be conducted by the family at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
