Richard D. "Dick" Webb

Richard D. "Dick" Webb, 84, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and worked as a certified electrician for over 40 years. Dick was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He served as a church treasurer for over 50 years. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Cemetery Directors. Dick was very active in his community, serving in various capacities. He was a walking testimony of the Lord, even up until his death, and was always witnessing. Dick was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Dimple M. Webb; sister, Joyce Webb; brother, John W. Webb; and nephew, Jeff R. Webb.

Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Nell Webb; daughter, Deborah Webb; granddaughter, Taylor Ann Campbell; brother, Roy M. Webb; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Vic Wallace and Rev. Al South officiating. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery with Military Rites by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Andy Bowman, Joe Bowman, Brent Cox, Casey Cox, Josh Dykes, John Hitchcock and Don Curd. Honorary pallbearers will be Bays Mountain and Eastman friends, Men's Sunday School class and deacons at Oak Hill Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs Cemetery Directors, friends at Rooster Rob's, and Ron Crain.
