Richard Allen Davis

Richard Allen "Bubby" Davis, 20, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at his home. Richard was loved by so many people. He had the biggest heart and made everyone laugh. He was the father to a baby boy and was the best father anyone could ask for. Richard had so many friends that loved him dearly. He impacted so many people's lives in such positive ways that they will never forget. Richard had a passion for Jeeps and motorcycles and he was always trying to get his hands on a new one. He helped anyone that needed it as much as he could and always brought people to smiles. He will forever be missed and loved. Richard worked at ACT in Boones Creek and loved every aspect of his job and his "family" there.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Richard Davis; maternal grandmother, Alice Faye Neece; paternal uncle, JW Davis Jr.; and maternal grandfather, Clifford Whitaker.

Richard is survived by his spouse, Brittany Jones; son, Liam Richard Davis; parents, Loretta Davis and Jeff Dodson; mother and father-in-law, Mayra and Allen Hawkins; sisters, Telina Sledge, Samantha Sledge and Harley Sledge; grandparents, Margaret Sue Perze, and JW Sr., and Dorothy Davis; aunts and uncles, Misty Whitaker and Danielle Whitaker, Kathy and Jack Hodges, Jeff and Amy Davis, John W. Davis III, Toni Hicks, Lori and Jose DeVila, and; and nieces, nephews and cousins, Kaylynn Johnston, Kyra Larkins, Adilynn Clevenger, Skylar Clevenger, Raelyn Tipton, Ryder Jones, Eddie Pacheo and Noah Davis, Austin Bishop, Wesley Cozad and Ashley Chapman.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ken Thacker officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday at 4:00 pm at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites by the Dobyns-Bennett High School Air Force Junior R.O.T.C.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Booker, Anthony Durant, Joey Dodson, Daniel Clevenger, Timmy Jones, Travis Tipton, Tyler Fair and Logan Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Dean, David Tyree, Austin Bishop and Danny Hunley.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
