Richard Carr "Dick" Fletcher, 58, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Kingsport, Dick was a graduate of Lynn View High School and worked for over 20 years for Palace Vending.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Beatrice Fletcher; and brother, Charlie Fletcher.
Surviving are two daughters, Brandy Fletcher and husband Logan Gregory of Tulsa, OK and Tamara Dye and husband Rodney of Church Hill; five grandchildren, Taylor Dye, Caden, Michaela, Eden and Avery Fletcher; one brother, Gary Fletcher and wife Edna of Kingsport; niece, April Quillen and husband Richard of Kingsport; nephew, Clayton Fletcher of Kingsport; and special friends, Kevin and Kathy Quillen of Lunsford Mill, VA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. J.W. Depew officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
