Richard Stanley Hite

Richard Stanley Hite, 81, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Stanley was born in Kingsport and lived in this area most of his life. A graduate of Sullivan High School, class of ’60, Stanley was a retired employee of Eastman, where he worked for 32 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and member of Rock Springs Methodist Church where he served the church faithfully in many ways.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Vera Hite.

Survivors include his wife, Bea Hite; children, Richie Hite and wife, Jackie, Sherri Jones and husband, Barry; four grandchildren, Kaley Franklin and husband, Matt, Wesley Hite and wife, April, Taylor Beedle, Cameron Hite and wife, Olivia; four great-grandchildren, Leighanna Hite, Drake Beedle, Eli Hite, Sutton Beedle; sister, Brenda Overbey; two brothers, Ron Hite and wife, Olga, Paul Hite and wife, Patty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Rock Springs Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Regina Shelton officiating, and Mark Adcox sharing a special message. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Military Honors by The American Legion Post 3/265. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Beedle and Eli Hite.
