After working for E. I. DuPont de Nemours in Delaware and the Ansco Division of General Aniline in Binghamton, NY, he came to Kingsport in 1950 with his wife, Miriam, as the Industrial Engineer for Blue Ridge Glass Corporation, the predecessor of AFG Corporation from which he retired in 1974. He was later employed as Management Engineer for Bristol Memorial Hospital, retiring from there in 1984.
