Rick Lynn "Ricky" Morelock

Ricky Lynn "Rick" Morelock, 57, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Holston Manor following a lengthy illness.

Rick lived all his life in Kingsport. He worked for many years and retired from Wholesale Electric. He was a born-again Christian and attended Grassy Creek Freewill Baptist Church and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Rick loved Southern Gospel music. He sang with the Morelock Brothers Quartet for many years. He had a big heart, and always had a big smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Zola Mae Morelock; and his brothers, Gary and Terry Morelock.

Rick is survived by his sons, Dustin and Preston Morelock and their families; brothers, Larry Morelock, and wife, Cindy, and Ernie Morelock and wife, Cathy; sister, Sheila Way and husband, Dennis; sister-in-law, Sharon Morelock; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm on Wednesday at Victory Baptist Church.
The service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Larry Morelock officiating. The burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery of Beech Creek.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Holston Manor.
