Ricky Lee Neeley

Ricky Lee Neeley, 66 of Kingsport, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. He was born October 21, 1956 in Kingsport to parents Guy and Ellen Neeley. Ricky was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother and friend. He was a perfectionist in all things, especially in his career choice of carpentry. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

Ricky was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Monroe Neeley; father and mother, Guy and Ellen Neeley; brothers, Clyde and Earl Neeley; sister, Jeanette Winegar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Terri Neeley; son, Travis Neeley and wife Rhonda; daughter, Brandy Sproles; grandchildren, Jordan Sproles and wife, Karrigan, Brooklyn Sproles, Nevaeh, Rex and Carter Neeley, Tyler and Katie Stacey; brother Kyle Neeley and wife Charlotte; sisters, Monnie Collins and husband Suel, Geneva Keplinger and husband John, and Brenda Shaw; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Danny Walker officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at Highland Church Cemetery, 485 Highland Church Road, Jonesborough, TN 37615.  Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.
