Robbie Ann Carter, 84, of Kingsport passed away at 6:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation-Hillside.

She was born in Hawkins County, Tennessee, and resided most of her life in Kingsport. Robbie was a member of Mafair United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert E. Lee, Sr. and Ann Lee; her husband, C. Howard Carter; a son, Robert L. Carter; a grandson, Howard Lee Murray; a granddaughter, Ashley Honaker; a sister, Mary Candace Robinette; and a brother, Robert E. Lee, Jr.

Surviving are three daughters, Jeanette Carter, Sandra Murray, and Peggy Honaker, all of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Diane Horton and husband James, Rebecca Hicks, Marc Murray and wife Rebecca, Paige Parham and husband Mike; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy L. Smith of Rogersville, TN, Emma Fearnow, Knoxville, TN, Betty Norris, Oak Ridge, TN; and one brother, Bill Lee of Knoxville.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph M. Kidd officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at County line Cemetery in Hawkins County. Honorary pallbearers will be Marc Murray, Boyce Bradley, Anthony Ramey, James Horton, William Goff, Mike Parham, and Bill Lineback.
