Robbie Thornburg

Robert Dwayne Thornburg II, 61, of Fall Branch, peacefully passed away to go home to the Lord's grace on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Greene County, TN on December 10, 1953, a son of the late Pat Thornburg and Dwayne Thornburg of Greeneville, TN, he had resided in this area his entire life.

Robbie graduated from Fall Branch High School in 1971 and worked construction for 30+ years. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, Dad, papaw, brother and friend. Robbie was an avid golfer, loved throwing darts and going for long drives in his "Vette."

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mike, Bryan, Brady, Curt, and Shine, and to the staff of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center ICU.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat Thornburg.

Robbie is survived by his significant other of 4 years, Barb Pressley of Fall Branch; son, Stormy Thornburg of Kingsport; daughters, Kelly Harshbarger and her significant other, Jonny of Kingsport, and Kimberly Berger and husband, Chance of Mandan, ND; three grandchildren, Makenna Faith and Emily, Peyton, and baby Berger on the way; father, Dwayne Thornburg of Greeneville, TN; brothers, Ricky Thornburg and wife, Cindy of Greeneville, TN, Mark Thornburg and wife, Darlene of Newport, TN; nieces, Brittni and Melony; special friends, Mike Looney, Brian Haren, Curt Salyers, Brady Williams, and with special thanks to TCDA; and pets, Hoss, Bear and Donta.
