Robert L. Blair, Jr., 53, Kingsport, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 14, 2007.
A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Bob was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.
Bob enjoyed a successful career of more than 20 years for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and was awarded on numerous occasions for his outstanding accomplishments. He was a loving, dedicated father to his children and family and was a friend to many people. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with family and friends. Bob will be greatly missed by his children, who loved him dearly, and by his extended family, many friends, and business associates.
His mother, Ruby Hawkins Blair, and father, Robert L. Blair preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Laurel Winnie Blair, Johnson City, and Carrie Marie Blair, Kingsport; son, Robert Neal McLin Blair, Memphis; mother of his children and former spouse, Gwendolyn Fowler Blair, Kingsport; sister, Janice Blair Williams, Waynesboro, VA; nephew, G. S. Blair Williams, Williamsburg, VA; brother-in-law by marriage, George P. Williams; and two special aunts, Valice Hawkins, and Mrs. Philip Bernice G?fellers.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Buddy Hunt officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Neal Blair, Buddy Hunt, George P. Williams, Mark Markham, Blair Williams, William Fowler, and Stan Widner.
