Robert E. "Bob" Brown, 76, of Fall Branch, TN, went to be with The Lord Monday, September 22, 2008, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Fall Branch and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Hanau, Germany as an M. P. He retired from Mason-Dixon after thirty-two years of service and worked ten years for the State of Tennessee. Mr. Brown was a former Pastor of Van Hill Freewill Baptist and Jackson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Greeneville, TN.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife Williadean Brown, parents, Roy L. and Wilma Cline Brown, daughter, Kathy Brown, son, Tim Brown, infant sister, Jewel Brown.
Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Brown Taylor and husband Jay, Atlanta, GA; son, David Brown and wife Lisa, Fall Branch, TN; two sisters, Jessie Mae Conklin, Kingsport, TN; and Trula Cox, Fall Branch, TN; brother, Leroy Brown, Fall Branch, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes.
Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. James Byford, and Pastor Rick Roop officiating.
Graveside services will be 12 Noon Friday at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 3/265 and Tennessee National Guard.
Pallbearers will be Jay Taylor, Jimmy Martin, Aaron Brown, Sloan Taylor, Earl Johnson, and Allen Gibson.
