Robert E. Cain

Robert E. Cain, 89, Fall Branch, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

He worked for Eastman Chemical for 42 years. He loved to camp and traveled all over the United States. He was an avid fisherman.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Cain; son, Bobby Cain; his parents, Pokey and Mary Cain; great-grandson, Billy Scott Wagoner; and three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Wagoner and husband, Ronald; sons, James M. (Jimbo) Cain, and Eddie Cain and wife, Brenda; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Sally Blanton and husband, Charles, Norton, VA, Wanda Alterio, Ohio, Brenda Hansel, South Carolina; brother, Charles Cain and wife, Glenna, VA; friend, Betty Eribarne.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Wellmont Cancer Institute and Dr. Abu-Shaken, Wellmont Hospice and 2nd Floor at Wilcox Hall. Special thanks also to nurses Wanda and Sherry who sang to him every day.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vic Wallace and Rev. Eddie Holbrooke, Jr., officiating.

The burial will follow at Gunnings Cemetery in Blountville, TN.

Pallbearers will be David Wagner, Josh Wagner, Mark Wade, Travis Cain, Jamie Cain, and Jon Freeman.
