Robert "Bob" Click

Robert E. (Bob) Click, 72, passed away on August 16, 2013, at his home with his family by his side after an extended illness. He may have lost this battle, but he has won the war and is finally resting with his Lord in Heaven. He was born in Church Hill, TN, and lived in Mount Carmel, TN, most of his life.

He was a loyal servant of the Lord in how he lived his life. He was a kind, gentle, honest, caring, loving, and hard working soul who always shined and made an impression on everyone he met. He was a member of Harvest Community Church in Kingsport, TN.

Bob worked at Eastman Chemical Company, Organic Chemicals Division for 30 years and retired in 1996. Bob was also a member of 639th Transportation Unit of the United States Army Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orban Click; mother, Beatrice Click; sister, Faye Lawson; Sister, Patricia Huffman; and sister-in-law, Eula Click.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Salley Click, who was his deepest love, companion, soul mate, and best friend of 47 years; his daughter, Angie Click Blalock, the light of his life; and her husband, Mike Blalock, who he loved like a son and was his close friend.

Survivors also include a sister, Betty Huffman (and husband Kyle) of Kingsport, TN; brother, Clyde Click of Mount Carmel, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Kay Salley of Oregon; brother-in-law, Harold Lawson of Church Hill, TN; many special nieces and nephews; and additional family members, Dan and Twalla Blalock, Kingsport, TN.

Receiving of friends will be held at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport, Monday, August 19, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with services immediately following in the Chapel at Hamlett-Dobson, with Pastor Bud Beverly officiating and special music will be provided by Ryan & Nikki Hayes. The family will also receive friends at any time at the home.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Gate City, VA (East Carter's Valley Road) with special singing by Sharon Price and Lisa Wilcox. Pallbearers will be Mike Blalock, Tony Click, Randy Huffman, Tyler Mullins, Fred Byington, and Robert Salley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Ketron, Gene Bland, Dan Blalock, and the men of Crew 4 Building-13 of ECC, Organic Chemicals.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Kingsport Wellmont Oncology doctors and nurses who became family to us and gave Bob extra special love. They truly are angels on earth. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Amedisys for their compassion and help. Also, special thanks to the Yaya-Raha Learning Center in Kingsport, TN, for all their loving gifts and special artwork by the children.
