Robert E. "Bob" Howard

Robert E. "Bob" Howard, 81, Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Holston Manor. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a member of Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church. Bob was an avid farmer, loving husband and devoted father. He loved wrestling and was a huge fan of the sport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermie and Edna Howard.

Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years: Callie Howard; two sons, Robert Lee Howard and Kelly, and Donald Stewart Howard; two sisters, Mary Dougherty and husband, Jack, and Nancy Barger and husband, Carl; aunt, Dorothy Walker; special nephew, Daniel Howard Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the staff of Holston Manor for the care that was given to Bob.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Roy H. Ferguson officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Stewart, Jamie Clamon, Travis Clamon, Evan Stewart, Justin Amyx, Craig Stevens, John Messier and Shad Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Barger, Jack Dougherty, Daniel Dougherty and Gene Archer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Logan's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 209 Logan's Chapel Rd., Fall Branch, TN 37656.
