Robert "Bob" Eaton, Sr., 68, Gray, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Martins Station Lodge No. 188, Rose Hill, VA. Bob had a great love for music and was a well-known entertainer in the Tri-City area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Bob is survived by his wife, Karen Eaton; four daughters, Robin Coombs and husband, Richie, Danielle Davis, Rebecca Eubanks and husband, Carl, and Candice Kaylor; two sons, Jerrold Eaton and Robert Eaton, Jr.; and one step-son, Jeffrey Fleenor, Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Joanne Becht; one brother, Lary Eaton; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Forsyth officiating.
Masonic rites will be performed by the Martins Lodge No. 188, Rose Hill, VA.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites performed by The American Legion Posts 3/265. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
