Robert "Bob" Ellison

Robert L. ?Bob? Ellison, Sr., 58, of Kingsport, passed away August 15, 2007, at his home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, devoted to all of his family. Bob was a loving Christian, working in missions. He was a 34-year military veteran, and retired from Eastman Chemical Company.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hall Ellison, Kingsport; a daughter, Beth Waugh, and husband, Dustin, Kingsport; a son, Luke Ellison, and wife, Tammy, Erwin; four grandchildren, Wesley, Amelia, Dalton, and Makenna; his mother, Elizabeth Proctor, and father, Earl; one sister, Faye Powell, and husband, Bob, Kingsport; one brother, Ray Ellison, and wife, Amy, Sevierville; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Saturday at Sullivan Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at Washington County Memory Gardens at 1:30 p.m. Sunday by the American Legion Post #3/265.

Pallbearers will be Luke Ellison, Dustin Waugh, Ray Ellison, Jeff Powell, Sean Grigsby, and Randy Kilgore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sullivan Baptist Church Missions, 4152 Maplewood Street, Kingsport, TN 37660 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Wanda Grills, 1217 Radcliffe Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37664.
