Robert James Hays

Robert James ?Buck? Hays, 74, of Limestone, TN, died Sunday night August 12, 2007 at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN after an extended illness.

Born in Greene County, TN, he resided in Illinois for many years before moving to Limestone in 1970.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hays owned and operated Hays and Hays Heating and Cooling.

His parents, Charlie and Gladys Hays, two sisters, Lucile Pratt and Sue Jackson, and one brother, Charles ?Buster? Hays preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Ilene V. Hays, of the home; son, Jamey J. Hays and wife Rebecca, Limestone, TN; two grandchildren, Jordan R. Hays and Jamie ?Beth? Hays; brother, Gary Hays and wife Mary Lou, Limestone, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Byrl Fann officiating.

Burial will follow at Cherry Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jeffrey Goode, Christopher Goode, Jeff Fox, Gary Hughes, Alan Jarnigan, and Sammy Eastep.
